Opening for the 2008 season

The new season has started and we are open to the public. We have made a few changes to our menu in the tearoom and we are busy tidying up the dig site. New stock for the shop is arriving daily

We close for the season on 31st October at 5pm. We will open again on the 1st April 2007. Watch for stop press news as the Centre may open on Fridays in the winter.

Opening times

We open from April 1st 2022 to October 31st, Sunday to Friday, 11 am to 4pm. Summer hours may be extended.

Your visit includes our chronological story of the development of Whithorn, the upper Gallery “Whithorn Cold Case” exhibition and special exhibition “Face to Face with Whithorn’s Bishops”, which is part of Scotland’s Year of Stories 2022; the ticket also includes access to the Iron Age roundhouse reconstruction via guided tour, and the Museum of early mediaeval carved stones. The crypts are currently closed to the public. All tickets are valid for one year.
