This year, our Viking Weekend will take place on 24th and 25th May 2025 and the Wool Gathering in aid of Stranraer Cancer Care will take place on July 26th and 27th.

We open from April to October 31st, Sunday to Friday, 10.30 am to 4pm. Summer hours may be extended.
Your visit includes our chronological story of the development of Whithorn, the upper Gallery “Whithorn Cold Case” exhibition and our Audio Visual presentations, as well as our upcoming exhibit on the recent Iron Age dig; the ticket also includes access to the Iron Age roundhouse reconstruction via guided tour, and the Historic Scotland Museum of early mediaeval carved stones. The crypts are currently closed to the public. All tickets are valid for one year.
