A little help for the Iron Age from some 21st Century technology : our planters for Whithorn and Garlieston Schools arrived last night and were filled with soil, to kick off our Iron Age farming project, which begins tomorrow. Children will plant, tend and harvest the grains which were grown 2000 years ago, and then mill, grind and bake the resulting flour. The project will run till September harvest-time.
